Absolutely the worst experience but unfortunately he is still there and I'm afraid he will die there from negligence and no care. I have had 3 calls in to the house supervisor and case manager and can not even get a call back. He had pain meds taken from him later found in a trash can over medicated or miss medicated until he was unresponsive. Had infection from an abrasion that started this nightmare and after being there 2 weeks i heard they had someone come look at it yesterday. If you are unable to stay 24/7 with them do not put them here.

I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone and wish I could give it NEGATIVE stars - we were forced to have my mother transferred here by a hospital that mishandled her care and lied to us about the transfer process/timeline - they just wanted her out of their hospital because of their own negligence - she was not stable to transfer and Speciality Select in Evansville was certainly not equipped to handle her care - there was no continuity of care and no one ever knew what the others were doing. We were there all the time because we did not trust them to care for my mom. They would not provide the required care and would just duck into the room, see we were there and hit a button on the wall that indicated they had been in her room. We would be coming down the hall and would hear them making fun of her - heartless, unprofessional, unethical and disgusting. We tried for weeks to transfer her and were lied to by their case worker, who again tried to intimidate and force us to transfer her to another terrible facility. I suspect all these places are in cahoots with each other and insurance companies to line each other's pockets at the expense of the patients' care. We were finally able to get her out of that dirty, horrible place and into a much better facility that was our CHOICE for her - they tried to tell us we had no say, she had to go where they sent her. The place is full of incompetent liars and they don't even have the decency to treat people with a little kindness and compassion.
Select is very, very unfamily friendly. If you come bring your own food and chair for the very tiny rooms. The hospital feels like you are in a gohst town.
The absolute worst place to go. I do not recommend this hospital for anyone. My mother had a surgery on her back and was sent there for rehabilitation and care. She was there a little over a week. Her wound dressing was changed only once or twice. They were supposed to put a pic line in her to treat her with antibiotics but they put in a midline instead and didn't even get it in a vein!!! She developed another absess in her spine because she wasn't receiving the antibiotics she needed to treat her. She ended up having another surgery and we demanded she not return to Select. Very unprofessional. One star is too much credit for what we got from them
