Great place! Shower was amazing! Plenty of water pressure. We had a huge group for a concert at the attached National Events Plaza, but apparently nobody told the poor bartender! He was in the weeds from 3pm til 7pm, then again after the concert. Breakfast was good. No free buffet, but it was higher quality food than what you usually get for free.
New hotel in the area, good location. Restaurant was delicious. Breakfast buffet food was just line ordering from the menu. Beautifully decorated for holidays, nice staff, my maid was the best!!! Hope they keep this up, will stay again.
Very clean room! Parking easily accessible! Rates affordable. The only downside I see is that you'd think a hotel located next to the Ford Center would be more ready for a large crowd, especially for an Elton John concert. Bar was not organized after the show and restaurant was not prepared for the large amount of people at the hotel this weekend. It's partially our fault for not making reservations, but it was not noted on the website. Better communication for your guests and better staffing for large events. Overall a good experience.
The rooms are clean and modern with large televisions. You have the option of king room or 2 queen room. The bathrooms are nice, large with walk-in showers and big storage shelves for keeping your toiletry items. Parking is $12 per night and you gain access using your room key. The garage isn't technically attached but close enough. The only pool is outside, so basically useless if you come anytime from late September to late May. There is no hot tub which is a disappointment for such a nice hotel. Check- in was quick and the desk clerks were friendly and very knowledgeable. The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and the Ford center. Overall our experience was good but there was no hot tub and no bath tub and no indoor pool.
We stay in a lot of hotels and Double Tree is quickly becoming a favorite. This hotel is immaculate! The lobby is gorgeous, the room was unbelievable and the staff were very helpful. I stayed in the 2 room suite and it was perfect for my situation. The shower is very large, and as always the cookies are delicious. I will stay here again and again.
