The dog sitting in the receptionist's chair was happy to greet me, but the lady behind the desk using the texting app on her phone didn't acknowledge me for a few minutes. She eventually said she would be with me soon, but it was a doctor/nurse coming into the waiting room that decided to help me.
I take both of my dogs to highland .They take care of all our needs from shots to surgeries.Crystal does all of our grooming.Highly recommend H.V.C.
I worked with Highland Veterinary Clinic for several years professionally. I am retired now and miss my almost daily interaction with them. Dr Gormley and his staff are exceptional. I recently boarded my dog with them and she was well taken care of. I would recommend Highland for all of your pet's care. You're just not going to find any better. I wish I could give them 10 stars!
Got an appointment right away. Didn't have to wait long after arriving. Love the amenities in the waiting room down to the candle if a pet or pet's family is experiencing loss or tragedy. HOWEVER, the treating staff just needs a course in friendliness and customer service. And I've taken animals to Dr. Ghormley for years and can understand how he just has faith that the staff would instinctively know how this works but sometimes you just have to shell out the money and send them to a Fred Pryor seminar, e.g., no "Hi, I'm _____". They just walk in and start treating. Took temp but I had to ask if it had a temp, and on and on. They were okay, but not really good enough to retain clients and grow the practice.
My family has been taking our pets here ever since I can remember as a kid. Now I'm 30 and the one bringing them in. :) The slogan on the door says it all, "Your other family doctor". The Gormley family and other staff are amazing people, compassionate with animals, and compassionate with people.
