Nice little hole in the wall! Food is good, staff friendly. Prices are descent as well. My only bugaboo was their take on poached eggs. So just a little tip on those poached eggs. The "perfect" poached egg has a runny yolk, with a hardening crust and no raw white remaining. This place says they prepare poached eggs two ways because customers complain about the runny of the yolk. I think knowledge is better than a lie. Considering all the wordy sayings from dead people all over the walls. It's best to stick to truth and the truth is "POACHED EGGS ARE RUNNY" there is no other type of poached egg. Tell your customers the truth instead of giving them false information spreading ignorance. That is why they get a 2 star because it left a bad taste in my mouth.
I wanted this place to be good. Went for lunch on Thursday. Busy, but able to get table. Sweet tea was very watered down, to what I normally drink. I ordered the Turkey Wrap, and I did not like the taste of the wrap. It was honey wheat, but had a weird taste to it. I only took two bites. My waitress just brought me my bill, didn't ask if food was good, or if anything was wrong. I wish I had the experience like some reviews I have read for this place.
The Franklin wrap I had was awesome! Service was equally wonderful. I can not wait to try breakfast sometime. Highly recommend!!!
Good food. Good price. Good service! Reagen was very nice and helpful! Suggestion: add banana foster to menu. Would go great on your pancakes!
The food tasted great but the options are very standard. The dining room is very old school and quaint with wood floors that shake your table as the waitresses move about. My experiences here have been nice but I will say there doesn't seem to be much consistency in the coffee. Sometimes is ok sometimes it's awful but it's never great. I can't tell if the beans aren't good or if it's just watered down. That said it's the best breakfast spot I've discovered in my 4 months in Evansville.
