Great place to eat. Traditional German food in a historical Evansville building. Great service. Large bar with many varieties of craft and foreign & domestic beers, wines and liquors.
I'm not into German food so I can't rate that. Simply because I would give an unfair negative review. So I am rating their beer selection, customer service, and atmosphere (I like the old buildings).
The Gerst Haus is a must visit place in Evansville. It is good for all situations. Large groups, families, first dates, or just grabbing a beer with friends. The beer selection is not only large it has a lot of beer you will only find here. The food is very good but not a lot of healthy options. Comfort food in a cozy and festive environment.

Gerst house beer is great. Corn beef and cabbage was really good. I will come back every time I come to town. Found my new Favorite!
